How to declutter the smart way
Getting rid of things is easier for some people and hard for many others, but the fact of the matter is, that decluttering does good for the home and for your soul in the same time. And when it comes to moving as result of a need to sell property fast or other reasons, decluttering properly can save you tons of times, money and energy. And why waste energy for carrying and packing things you won’t ever use or wear again? Therefore, here are some useful steps on how to declutter the smart way.
Imagine the place or the room you want to declutter empty and set that as a goal. You can also pre-plan as to how else you put things, or how to re-arrange stuff in that said room or place. This way you don’t only declutter but also make an order of things.
It might be tempting to do moving and decluttering in parallel but in reality that’s a huge job which you don’t need. Do the decluttering first, so this way you end up moving only the things you really need to.
Pre-plan as to when you do the decluttering and on that very day do it from morning to evening, or as your energy levels let you do so. The most important is, to take the time for it when you only concentrate on this task. And remember, you don’t have to do everything in the same time. Do a decluttering plan for the wardrobe, one for the kitchen and any other rooms which are in need of decluttering. You can also connect packing with decluttering.
Get a lot of trash bags well on time. If you want to also get rid of unwanted furniture arrange a service which can take it away to a garbage place. Don’t forget to buy larger ones which are made out of a stronger material.

In all honesty if you buy something and you don’t wear it for over a year, it’s high time to get rid of it because chances are, and you won’t ever wear it anyhow. So, separate the things you can sell from the things you can give away. There are lots of foundations welcoming garments of any kind and send them to the poor all around the world. Another solution is to try a second-hand store and see how much they pay for them.
This way you separate what you want to throw away, what you want to donate, what you want to give to a friend or family member.
We all have those places in our homes, which are in bad need of decluttering. Start at those places and then methodically move on to the less crowded rooms. This way you will feel you get closer to achieving your goal and start afresh at your new home.
